Character: Terra

Series: Teen Titans

Version: This version of Terra takes place after the episode "Terra," before she's supposed to run back into Slade the second time around, leading to her betraying the Titans.

Age: 15 years old

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight, as far as Terra's concerned at her age. She hasn't dated much, what with her changing cities often, but most of her crushes have been on guys, including Beast Boy.

Appearance: Terra stands at 5'3", has long blonde hair (sometimes wearing a butterfly-shaped clip in her hair), and is very thin. She is often wearing a pair of shorts, a light gray long-sleeved shirt and a dark gray crop top with black sleeves over it. When she isn't wearing this, if the weather doesn't compliment the outfit well, she's usually sporting just a fitted, gray hoodie sweat shirt and a pair of blue jeans. She is almost always wearing a pair of boots, often hiking boots, and leather gloves. And let's not forget her favorite accessory -- goggles. It helps protect her eyes when she's fighting or using her powers.

Personality: The most obvious trait about her is her insecurity. Her front of confidence is a cover-up for a lot of her insecurities; she's, in fact, afraid of rejection from other people, especially about her uncontrollable powers and about her past. Outside of this, Terra is very outgoing, for one. She's the sort of girl that can be placed in an area, not knowing who anybody is, and strike up a conversation with a friendly stranger. She's a friendly, playful person who's always up for something new and challenges, and always willing to lend a hand to those who need it.

Abilities/Weaponry: She's known to be a Geomancer, manipulator of the Earth. Outside of these abilities, she has little to no knowledge of how to use a weapon. If she feels that she needs to, Terra can learn, although it would take her awhile to find a weapon that suits her.

Weaknesses: Her physical weaknesses goes as this -- her main weakness is the little control she has over her own abilities. She has the potential to do amazing things with guided practice, but she has yet to find them. Another physical weakness of hers is that she isn't strong; if she were to fight on her own two feet without any weapons or using her powers, in a one-on-one fight, she would be quickly beaten.

As for weaknesses concerning here personality -- due to her insecurity and her wanting to be accepted, Terra can easily get manipulated into doing the wrong thing and believing an idea that obviously wouldn't make sense to another person. She also has a tendency to trust people too quickly in hopes of making new friends and finding somewhere she belongs -- which almost always leads to a bad out come. And she has a tendency for her judgment to be clouded when she's upset or angry, or when she feels like she's been betrayed by those she considers her friends.

History: Little is known about Terra's home life to everyone else. At one point, Terra was the youngest child in a wealthy family: a mother, father, and an older brother. She wasn't raised with a hell of a lot of love nor was she deprived as a child. She had a so-so relationship with her parents, until she started to develop her powers around the age of eleven years old. When she first lost control, she grew fearful of what her family would think, since her parents highly disapproved of 'freaks,' and ran away.

To everyone else who's met her, all that's known about her is that she doesn't have a home, other than the Earth. She's always jumped from city to city, claiming she "goes wherever the wind takes her." The one thing she leaves out is the fact that she's caused destruction in almost every city she tries to make a home in with her uncontrollable powers. When she finally arrives in the city called Jump City back in her world, she meets the Teen Titans, who immediately offer her a place to stay and a place on the team.

However, Terra's expectation for a happy ending came to a quick end. Beast Boy found out about her control problems over her powers, and asks him to keep it a secret. And after combat practice the next day, the Titans -- and Terra -- were called in for a mission against Slade and his droids. Terra lost control over her powers during the fight, causing a pile of rocks to crash down on Beast Boy and the droids. Horrified, and fearful of what she was going to do next, Terra ran away and further into the cave, spotting Slade and deciding to track him down on her own and fight him.

After much fighting, Slade begins the manipulation, preying on her with the information he's gathered on her, exploiting her weakness and giving her an option to come with him and to gain new control over her abilities, to "shine" like she's always wanted to. When he came to tell Terra that her friends were going to stop being her friends upon discovery of her powers, and that Beast Boy wouldn't keep his mouth shut forever, she snapped, almost ready to bring the cave down with her. The only person able to snap her back into reality and calm down was Beast Boy, again reassured that Beast Boy wouldn't tell anyone.

What she wasn't aware of was that Robin and the others put two and two together, and Robin figured out that Terra had a problem controlling her powers. When they offered her a spot on the team, when Robin revealed this to her -- she automatically turned against Beast Boy, thinking he's lied to her. Upset, she runs away.

And she keeps running, not sure of where she was going to go and what she was going to do. All Terra knows is that, once again, her happy ending wouldn't come for a very long time.
